Tour armageddon...

Voodoo Club - Comacchio, ITA - 9/1:
Crossing the alps, in snowstorm of course. Same as always. But Herb the Hammer kept the bus rollin and we arrived in Comacchio sometime in the evening, alive and well.

Typical Italian schedule then, get-in around 20:00 (!) and show starts at 22:00. On a Monday. Well well... Soundcheck went fine, good sound system and a pretty big and cool club in general - only downside was that they didnt put on the heating until after 22:00, euhm?

It turned out that the guy promoting the gig didn't really live up to his name (promotor), appearantly he didn't promote the gig at all, so most people in the scene didn't even know about us coming. Somehow some people came to the show anyway, but less than we have had before in Italy.

Requiem

After the show, the booker/tour manager of the tour Thomas Bodenschalz didn't hand over our payment for the show. We started to suspect that something was rotten in the state of HERETIC VISIONS, but we didn't pay much attention to it at that point, and continued with post-show duties in the bus as usual.

Blue Rose Saloon - Milano, ITA - 10/1:
Woke up at some truck-stop in Italy in the afternoon, and here the TROUBLE began for real...

It turns out that the bus driver/owner Herb the Hammer hasn't got paid as agreed (appearantly he was gonna get a daily fee during the tour). The word is that if he don't get his payment as agreed, the tour will stop after the 6th gig of the tour, in Mannheim.

We then called for a crisis meeting with Thomas "Buddah" Bodenschalz, the owner of HERETIC VISIONS PRODUCTIONS, that is organizing the tour. Unfortunately it turns out that Thomas didn't make any budget for the tour. Nor did he keep any book over incomes and costs. Therefore we had to sit down together and try to figure out what kind of costs and incomes there have been, and it turns out that a rather significant amount of cash is simply missing. There's no explanation of where the money is, but even more worrying, no back-up plan. The only explanation is that the money must be stolen.

Bottom line: No budget. No books. Money missing. No back-up plan. No financial back-up.

Since Bodenschalz had booked tours before through HERETIC VISIONS we expected him to be on top of things, but things now suddenly looked even worse than we had expected.

Anyway, we try to keep our shit together and prepare for the show in Milano. The schedule is the same as the day before, meaning we can't get into the club until around 8pm or something, and then have to fix some kind of improvised soundcheck before the bands must start playing... things are delayed of course, and TORMENTION and ERUPDEAD have to cut down on their live sets once again...

Thomas is given a deadline when he has to have all the missing money to keep the tour rolling, and that deadline is set to 6 pm the day after.

Meanwhile, we are realizing that chances that the tour will go on as planned is rather small. Thomas / HERETIC VISIONS simply seem bankrupt, and we start working on alternative solutions to finish the last part of the tour.

The show goes OK, but unfortunately the promotor that Thomas has hired to set this gig up is the same guy that "promoted" the gig in Comacchio. We hear from some people attending to the show that there has been no promotion for the show at all, and there are less people on the gig than normal.

It is a rather strange atmosphere in the nightliner as we head back towards Germany in the night, but fortunately our friends in TORMENTION, REQUIEM and ERUPDEAD keep the spirit up anyway, and we hope for the best.

7er Club - Mannheim, GER - 11/1:
When we wake up in Mannheim in the day, the word is already out that Buddah has failed to come up with a solution for the tour. No money, no back-up = the nightliner will go back to Nürnberg after tonight's show.

In the last minute we managed to come up with a solution on how to continue the tour and do the last three shows as planned, but without Herb the Hammer and Buddah. Unfortunately our brothers in REQUIEM (who had pulled together most of the backline) had a band-vote and decided that they didn't want to take the risk continuing the tour (which is understandable). Without any backline, and no support bands, we simply had to give up and officially cancelled the last three shows of the tour (Antwerp, Valenciennes and Oostende) during the day.

Bottom line; we tried our utmost to finish as planned, but unfortunately it was impossible this time. We WILL however get back to Belgium and France sooner than you think!

The 7er club in Mannheim was a cool place. Christer Pettersson's brother had some tech duties in the evening, and turned out to be solid. After some döner kebap we fixed a sound heavier than ever, and the show turned out very good for all the bands. One last time we played "World Serpent" for Jocke and the guys, and the support from the audience was great.

After the show REQUIEM took their backline and went back home to Switzerland, while we together with TORMENTION and ERUPDEAD headed towards Nurnberg. We arrived there already around 5am, with most of us having slept... nothing.

When in Nürnberg - 12/1:
...trying to find a decent way to get home. It turns out that rebooking the tickets home would cost a fortune.

Finding new tickets at decent price with 0 days notice is even harder, so after many hours of work and crisis meetings, we realize that we are stuck here.

Having given up the idea of going home, we had to get rid of the remaining merchandise, which also turns out to be a bit more complicated that expected. After many hours of running back and forth thru the huge Cargo terminals, we finally find a way to ship the shit, but not until we have been forced to go to the city to buy new boxes for all the stuff, since the personel at the airport didnt approve the ones we had. (needless to say, the new boxes were less stable the original ones, but they kept the meatheads at the cargo terminal happy)

Finally in the evening after some 30+ hrs of no sleep we wind up at a hotel in the city, and operation recovery can begin.

En slatt är ju alltid en slatt!

We spend a couple of days here mainly relaxing and checking out some local bars etc, until we finally could fly home to Sweden on Sunday evening!

All in all it has been one hell of a ride! Big thanks to the guys from REQUIEM, TORMENTION and ERUPTED, and of course The Fucking Hammer for a great time, but most important of course, to all the great and loyal people that have been to the gigs! We had an awesome time in Germany and we will be back soon again! And we will reschedule some shows to Belgium and France too, no worries there. We are all looking forward to this, and thanks again for all!

The Calm Before the Storm - 5/1:
So... here we go again... hooked up in DIABOLICAL's rehearsal room in Stockholm Thursday evening to go through the set for the tour.

Rehearsals went fine, and afterwards half the band took off to Arlanda around 12:00 in the night. Fredrik went home to do some final preparations for the tour, and needless to say Sverker had to go home to pack his bags in typical last minute tradition.

The plane was scheduled to take off around 06:00 meaning no time to sleep, with Fredrik and Sverker arriving at the airport 04:30 together with Jocke from TORMENTION it was time for the usual fuckup checking in the luggage. With 27 kg over-weight, Martin had to step in and charm the chick at the counter; as always he succeeded, and off we could go... well, not really. With our usual luck the plane was kaputt and it took nearly two hours to have it fixed, so we missed our connection flight from Berlin to Nurnberg.

By now, everybody were fuckin tired, and when the personel told us "your bags may come tomorrow", we had to change tactics from charm to threats, trying to explain to them the importance of our luggage, being equipment for a huge band and all that. Obviously it worked, because arriving in Nürnberg around 14:00 (via Frankfurt) our luggage was actually there (!).

In Nürnberg our nightliner waited for us, and we could finally get in and go to sleep for a few hours. Well deserved!

Iron Eagle - Lugau, GER - 6/1:
Waking up outside the Iron Eagle in Lugau just in time for soundcheck. First real meeting with REQUIEM, TORMENTION and ERUPDEAD who all seemed to be fine folks.

Everything was a bit off schedule already from the beginning, and as people started to show up for the show, we could do our first soundcheck of the tour.

This was the first time we played in Lugau and it was a cool experience. Some 120-130 people showed up, and the show went very well. Even if things were quite delayed, it was a good start of the tour.

Good to see some old friends back, ms Cobra fx having brought some 10 ppl to the show from Dresden.

Also the first time someone started crying when we did the last extra number, at least to our knowledge.

The evening ended in normal chaotic tradition, and the bus call around 05:00 was pretty delayed. Off to..... some bus parking.

Sommerkeller - Straubing, GER - 7/1:
Half the band wakes up around lunch-time not in their beds but in the bus lounge, fucking freezing cold. Outside it is snowing, weather is shit in general. Off to McDonalds for breakfast, and then to Straubing.

Obviously the evening in Lugau must have been a bit out of hand, as we are informed that our Swedish mates in TORMENTION has got a reprimand from the tour manager Thomas, hehehe.

Tormention

After soundcheck its time for the traditional pre-show nap and people start showing up for the gig. It's a bit less people tonight party due to some christian lowlives having fucked up the promotors advertising, taking down posters in the city same day they were put up etc... But it still turns out cool, and the show is good.

The traditional post show duties goes on til 08:00 or longer, and our awesome bus driver Herb the Hammer also joins in. Great success. And when we leave Straubing their residents definitely have a far wider knowledge in Swedish language than before we came.

Schwarzer Adler - Memmingen/Tannheim, GER - 8/1:
We are in the middle of nowhere, and we are a bit late too of course. It's a pretty cool club, but we wonder where people are gonna come from? Appearently no need to worry because after a great dinner, our loyal followers start coming in their cars and the turnout is very good. Cool seeing back old friends this evening too.

It's a small club and stage but the atmosphere is cool and we play our full set and extra songs before we are allowed to stop. Unfortunately the place dies after our show, but it was a good evening anyway, thanks to the great fans, supporting our journey and buying a lot of merch too.

Time to leave Germany for this time, but We'll be back!

The Demonical Horde - Dec 2011

We have hereby officially parted ways with drummer Ronnie Bergerståhl and replaced him with Fredrik Widigs. Fredrik has been our stand-in drummer during the past autumn, hence making him the obvious choice for the throne and full time position.

Besides that, we are also thrilled to announce that our session live-guitarist Pablo Magallanes has become an official member of Demonical.

We want to thank Ronnie for all the years in the band and wish him the best for the future! We welcome Fredrik and Pablo into Demonical, with this new and strong line-up we are more than ready for 2012 and everything it will bring. The ones involved have spoken:

“As most of you know by now, I decided to sit out the Demonical tour which took place in October/November. I thought about it for months before the tour started and in my heart I basically decided already then to quit the band. However, I gave it some time but now I have taken the last final decision: I will quit Demonical!

The main reason is that it is getting harder and harder to combine two touring bands like Demonical and Grave - to give them equal priority - and as Demonical will be doing a shit load of festivals and shows in 2012 and Grave will release a new album (with extended touring to follow) it will be impossible.

There is absolutely NO hard feelings between me and the guys in Demonical, we will still be doing lots of "hadderajjan" together after this, hehe…!!

I'm really excited to see who's going to take my place in the band but I know that they won't settle for anything or anyone but the best!”

Bryggeriet - Motala, SWE - 2/12:
So after a couple of weeks off since the Eastern Death Infernal tour here we go again. Lets try to keep this blog up, at least for now...

Target of the evening being Little Chicago, also known as Motala. Had to leave our homes early to get to the venue in time. Needless to say, showing up well in time before schedule, we were left to wait some hours for the promotor to open due to some kind of communication fail. Anyway, some hour late we were finally let in and could put our shit together. Being a weekend show in Sweden the stage times are rather late, giving us time enough anyway.

The backstage room is already legendary, located next to a grease separator, which was of course emptied (or fixed, or something) just some day before. No further comments needed.

HANG THE BASTARD from the UK opened the gig around 11 PM. Right before we were gonna play we realized that this venue actually appears in the great "Story of Anvil" (there is a scene in the movie, after they played at Sweden Rock, where the "tour continues" and they do a show in front of an audience consisting of two guys, one of them sleeping... well, that's the place...).

Luckily, we had more people than ANVIL, and a good response. The Motala-people showed what they were made of, drinking and fighting and keeping the security and police personel busy during the night.

Metal Club - Karlstad, SWE - 3/12:
Not too pleasant waking up around 8 o’clock in the morning, but life can't be fair all the time, just ask Dave Mustaine. Having picked up our stuff at Bryggeriet around nine, we left towards Karlstad and an early soundcheck at Metal Club. Having finished that shit around 5 PM, most of the guys went to the hotel to sleep some hours and get back in shape so to speak...

After an awesome dinner at the venue, people started to show up after 9 PM. It turned out that the venue wass "mixed", half the place was the home for some kind of typical Saturday night disco while the other half was the home of Metal Club. It looked a bit weird having hordes of homosexuals passing by, dressed up in fancy "going out"-dresses and all that, but it worked alright.

The support band of the evening was SKRAECKOEDLAN from Norrköping. They did a good show combining traditional Swedish prog-rock with more American sounding stoner. Check them out.

Our concert turned out very good, the place was packed and with a very good support from the Karlstad-audience! Thank you!

VOMITORY-fellas gave us the latest gossip on what happened on their tour since they left us in Bratislava a month earlier and it was great seing some other old friends as well, especially brothers and sisters who had travelled all the way from Ramnäs, Jämtland etc...

After the venue closed we had some kind of afterparty at the hotel with some guys of SKRAECKOEDLAN, educating us in dumpster recycling among other interesting things...

A great evening, all in all!

A month off starting today - 4/12:
Fredrik was upset that there were no pancakes at the hotel's breakfast buffee and wanted a refund (of course we didn’t pay anything for the breakfast, but still...)

We weren’t back in Stockholm until 6 o’clock in the afternoon and eventually in Avesta around 9 PM. Thanks to our awesome crew Eva and Rebecca the weekend turned out smooth and good in all aspects.

As most people know we will unfortunately not perform in Texas this coming weekend due to reasons that we have already stated on our website and Facebook. Well at least we are not alone cancelling our performance at the Rites of Darkness Festival, other bands forced to do the same includes: MORTUARY DRAPE, ROOT, TRIBULATION, SARGIEST, BEHEXEN, DEAD CONGREGATION, INTERMENT, URFAUST, BUTCHER ABC, GENERAL SURGERY, BIRTH AD, HOUR OF 13, AKITSA, NUNSLAUGTHER, STRID, VALKYRJA, FUNEBRARUM, DISMA, EVOKEN, HELLVETRON, STARGAZER, PAGAN ALTAR, LOSS, DIVINE EVE and HELL MILITIA. Those are the bands that we know of, the list of cancellations is probably even longer.

Anyway, we will perform in the US in May next year and are truly looking forward to this.

Now we take a month off and prepare to return to the road in January.

The last days of insanity...

Metal Schuppen - Leipzig, GER - 10/11:
Back in Deutschland then! Döner in the city, local bier, and the smallest stage of this tour so far. Well, the venue in general wasn't exactly Wembley, but with a cool DIY spririt.

Just a couple of hrs before our gig, the "party tram" passed by some block away and it was close that our concert was fuckin' cancelled in favour of other duties.

Serious business...

After some food (that lasted for at least 10 persons) and the most silent radio interview in history of broadcasting (some local radio station interviewed Sverker in the tour bus while the driver was sleeping) we did our shit for the Leipzig people for the first time in a couple of years (last time was at Hellraiser, 2009?). The show turned out cool, with "Leipzig 45" as the grande finale of course. Also cool to see some old friends back, with Thomas from ARROGANZ and some other dudes passing by.

Unfortunately we had to leave rather fast after the show, so after some more Döner and a fast load-out we left our drum carpet on stage and fucked off to Berlin!

Hof 23 - Berlin, GER - 11/11:
Arriving early, as usual. Rather big and cool place and personel already working on the stage and sound early in the day. Tonight's gig is a part of a 2-day event with DEMONICAL headlining Friday and ASPHYX Saturday. All-in-all five bands playing this particular evening (apart from the touring team, there is also a German band + an Irish band performing). We have all been looking forward to this show; only the name of the event (Brutz & Brakel Stromgitarrenfest) should be enough to attend, right?

After some pretty good food, people start showing up at the venue; many people we know are showing up also today, which is always cool, especially the team from our record label sets a steady tone.

Our great driver Marcus' girlfriend Sanna also shows up here in Berlin, and they sneak out on their own dinner (turns out they got engaged - congratulations sisters!).

SLYTRACT opens the evening, followed by the German band NECROMORPH and then the Irish SYPHOR... After them VOLTURYON (from Borlääänge, Sweden) does a very appreciated show, and finally around 00:30 it is time for us to enter the Hof 23 stage. By then the audience of some 250 ppl are warmed up to an orgazmic frenzy, meaning the Flow is On. Everything works out cool, and before the last song the Brutz & Brakel staff comes up with some steady shots for the band and front row audience (needless to say, we played some extra songs in exchange for extra shots).

The whole tour package incl crew had free cocktails in the bar until 04:00 o'clock, and the rest of the night is history...

Alte Post - Emden, GER - 12/11:
What happened? Confusion in the bus as people start waking up; turns out only very few people remembers what happened the night before, if any. Apparently the newly engaged bus driver Marcus more or less took care of the entire equipment load-out himself, with the help of random people and nobody knows who (one of the advantages of having a pro driver).

Needless to say, tons of private stuff is missing; iphones, Johan Volturyon's whole bag of clothes, some microphones, pedals, cameras etc... To sum things up, it must have been Harmageddon... again. But at least all the people are on board, and the bus is rolling towards Emden.

The gig of the evening is a part of another yearly 2-day event, "Ear Terror Festival". The only three bands performing on Saturday though are us (SLYTRACT, VOLTURYON and DEMONICAL).

After the most hung-over soundcheck of the tour so far, people goes back to the bus to recover before the show. Around 23 it's time for us to end the festival, and by then all is well and the flow is on. The gig turns out good with some 100 people supporting us through the show.

Thank you Germany for once again supporting Old School Death Metal!

The Rock - Copenhagen, DEN - 13/11:
Another rather big venue, doing lots of shows here... The show was actually promoted by the girl handling our merchandise on the tour, and it's a cool place to play.

Didn't get any food in the day, but took a walk down the centre and found the heaviest grill south of Traneberg, with delicious meat for the team.

After the mandatory group pic on stage with all members of the tour team, SLYTRACT do their thing and then start their 1000km drive back to Hungary. Thanks for an awesome tour, boys!

Eastern Death Infernal professional elite drivers!!

As usual, our driver is resting during the evening. During our gig, three arabs comes up with the great idea to rob our bus. Again, Marcus save our asses, and scare the poor parasites away from the scene (of course, Johan Volturyon was the only member to get something stolen - his bad luck during this tour is simply unmatched)

Despite reminders, The Rock unfortunately didn't pay any attention to our vodka demands this evening, so after the show we had to collect all beer we could find before fucking off towards home with some Carlsberg's in our hands. A bit humiliating.

The fucking end... 14/11:
Back in Sweden, MAX is closed. Had to get some McD-food in the night, before finally in the middle of the day finding an open MAX in Örebro.

After dropping off VOLTURYON, 40% of DEMONICAL and most of our gear in Avesta, the bus head towards Stockholm where the last people lives - and the tour is completed!

It's been a truly awesome tour - thanks to all the great promotors, all local support bands, our great crew, VOLTURYON for their awesome efforts and survival instincts, SLYTRACT of course, but most important all the people showing up at the concerts, supporting our crusade behind the iron curtain!

Unfortunately we have been a bit slow with updating the blog when on the road, so we'll see if it's worth continuing this tradition or not... But see all you people soon again - blog or not!

Feeding The Armageddon...

Zion Club - Pecs, HUN - 5/11:
Third time to play in Pecs in some three years (if you count the Rockmaraton festival that is).

Traditional delayed get-in. Being at the venue some hours before time is usually a good idea on tour. Here, not so much. Whatever. Some hours late we are let in to set everything up. It is the smallest stage on the tour so far, but things turn out alright after Martin has practiced the Judas Priest basist position on soundcheck.

When SLYTRACT are gonna do their show, we again suspect that there is something rotten in the state of the bass rig. Fortunately, this time it was only the local support band who accidently kidnapped the speaker cables after their gig. Some pizzas and beers later we do our show, and the response is very good, most people being in Saturday night mode. The audience is supportive through the whole gig (except the annoying hippie in Suffocation shirt), moshing and banging, and it turns out to be our best concert in Pecs so far.

When leaving, our friendly promotor of the evening gave us some serious warnings about Budapest, Hanneman having been robbed by hookers and all that...

Rocktogon - Budapest, HUN - 7/11:
The venue turns out to be right in the middle of the city, impossible to reach with the nightliner, so we park somewhere outside the centre, and the local personel come pick us and our gear up with some vans. The place is cool, and after the longest soundcheck in history of Death Metal, we are served some great hungarian food and doors open.

It is Johan's 40th birthday today, which is celebrated with some dessert and drinks and SLYTRACT bring some bottles that looks... tasty!

So far on this tour the response from the audience has been awesome, but tonight we suspect will be the first fail in that area, Monday night and no people at the time doors open. Luckily it turns out that people in Budapest just like coming late to the shows; by the time we play the audience is really good, and the gig turn out awesome.

The people attending also knows how to throw a good afterparty, which is appreciated by our team and management. Around 05:00 everybody are back in the bus, where half the team has been waiting since 01:00.

Randal Club - Bratislava, SVK - 8/11:
Back in Slovakia then! We start the day in good old fashin by fighting with some parking personel around the parking fee, and then walk the city or whatever.

Vomitory tourpackage.

The billing this Tuesday evening actually consists of two tours; our team + VOMITORY, PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT and SOLACE OF REQUIEM. We meet them at the above mentioned bus parking; needless to say they face the same issues we earlier did, and fuck off from there.

SLYTRACT open the evening and people start dropping in. After cool gigs by VOLTURYON and SOLACE OF REQUIEM, the flow really comes with PROSTITUTE DISFIGUREMENT on stage. After them, we enter the stage, and the gig is really good, our best one in Slovakia probably. It was great seeing back people from gigs we did in other cities in Slovakia in the past, and also good to see our good ol merch guy Jackie back!

After us, VOMITORY did a great gig, unfortunately the other tour decided to be a bit professional and leave right after the gig (we, not so much...). See you in Karlstad in december!

Brooklyn - Brno, CZ - 9/11:
Short drive from Bratislava and arrival in Brno round 06:00 giving us a long day checking out the city drinking Czech beer. Our first time in Brno, but having played many times in Prague and at Czech festivals we still felt a good support here. The great promotor had fixed things very well, and when entering the stage the audience was in a very good flow this Wednesday evening. The concert turned out awesome. Old friends since a decade showed up and post show duties included more beer, white russians and hours of pole dance. Czech Republic rules as always!

Euphoria Music Hall - Cluj Napoca, ROM - 2/11:
Mr tour manager a stroke today. After he recovered he cleaned the whole bus on his own in order to avoid further damage to his mental state. Somewhere in the mess, he found Johan Volturyun's computer too; appearantly he didn't forget it at some bar, he just brought it into the bus by mistake. Johan's chances of still having a job after the tour just increased with at least 5%.

Cluj is the second biggest city in Romania - but maybe not a big-big city. Meeting Ms Elly who promoted the gig first thing she says is "I heard a rumour you guys did the city tonight?". Ok? Could be.

The Euphoria Music Hall is not what you would imagine the ordinary romanian concert hall to be, being new since one year and quite modern, almost in central Cluj Napoca. Everything was very well fixed with great catering waiting for lunch, great dinner etc. - thanks to the awesome crew of EMH and Hatework!

Volturyon ripping it up!

The gig was great, with very strong support from the metalheads of Cluj. We didn't use the backdrop today due to practical reasons - the club then took the chance to run some ciggarette commercials from a projector through our whole gig. Shouldn't we get at least some free Camel packages in return?

Since it was a Wednesday, most people attending to the show disappeared right after we stopped playing, leaving the tour people alone to handle the post show duties. Said and done, we packed the (cleaned) bus, continued there and the rest is history... Hope to be back in Cluj soon again.

Bus/road/back to normal...

Club Fabrica - Bucharest, ROM - 3/11:
Ok, everything is back to normal. The roads of Romania has thrown everything around in the bus again, tied to their places or not. Back to harmageddon, the huge popcorn-machine filled with vodka bottles, beer cans, shoes, towels, socks and anything else you can (and cant) imagine. Tour manager gets his second stroke, and to make it even better most of the people are for some reason sick. Martin, Pablo and Sverker are sick and Johan is Johan. The only healthy in the band is the youngster Freppa.

We start the day with pissing in the children's playground, then check out the venue and set things up. It's a cool place with breakfast waiting for us. The sound guy looks like a droogie but is doing an awesome job. Actually, our very good friend Costin is part-organizing the concert this evening, although the man himself had to leave Romania to do some art exhibitions in America during this period - well done man.

The security...

Our backstage room is guarded by a dead rat, that keep the ladies off our backs (they often become a problem without decent security). The concert this evening was a great one, with a very good audience supporting us. Things worked out good on stage, although half the band being sick. Unfortunately once again most of the people fucked off after the show, but we kept the flag high, and moved down to some bar to celebrate the victory. After having pissed in the children's playground again, we left Bucharest towards Sibiu sometime around 05:00...

Bohemian Flow - Sibiu, ROM - 4/11:
Arriving in Sibiu around 09:00 in a good bohemian flow or at least mood, the last personel finally throws in the towel. We were actually supposed to be at the venue at 11:00, so we are a bit early as always, but it's not until 17 that we are let in by the owner of the place (!).

Whatever, 6-7 hours here or there is not that much of a big deal over here. And it even gives us some extra hours of sleep, or check out the city, or whatever... Having realized that the concept of local guiding is a rather good one, judgeing from the Cluj Napoca experiences, we had some kind of equal set-up here too. Unfortunately things didn't turn out equally good this time.

The place is the smallest so far on the tour. After we set up the stage, we went off to eat some traditional romanian food and therefore unfortunately missed the support band EVERGREED. SLYTRACT did a good gig again, these hungarians are doing amazingly well every day coming in their van with no sleep (?), while we relax in the nightliner. Maybe it is the 200 beers a day that does it. Great shows anyway.

When we played, the place was completely packed, and the bohemian flow on. We had some sound issues in the beginning (when a girl from the audience actually comes up on stage telling Sverker "don't play anymore until the sound is fixed" - then you know for sure that things arent top notch), but after two songs of kaos the pizza solved everything, and the show could go on.

Afterwards we stayed at the venue for some Friday night duties, and especially a half naked half crazy guy doing drum kareoke did a strong impression on all of us. But around 03:00 we had to fuck off to Hungary and say bye to Romania for this time, after some four awesome days.

Anaal fest + Halloween party!!??

Club Naozzay - Nitra, SVK - 31/10:
Nitra then. First time here, but we have good memories from other cities in Slovakia in the past so we expect the best. Concert went well, the new bass amp from Warsaw seem to hold up, and we continued the evening in Polish tradition also in Slovakia. Positive thing about these places is that you can bring your own (usually home-made) drinks to the clubs, something of course many trve DEMONICAL fans does (and of course want us to drink of - yummie)

After a steady warm-up in Baltikum and Poland, the tour finally starts flowing for real. After Club Naozzay closed, we were shown to some other place in the city. The street ladies outside made us think we walked into a bordel, but it turned out to be a hard rock club in there, many people from the concert was there too. A rough estimation of 100% of the people here would have been thrown out of any ordinary bar in Stockholm (bartenders included).

Johan Volturyon decided that it was a good idea to bring his computer to the after party; needless to say he has no computer no more (and possibly no job).

Some time after 06:00 it was time to go back to the bus. A mob of 7-8 people waited for us outside to "beat long hair guys"; luckily Pablo the Ruthless scared them away on his own. The last persons managed to get on the tour bus around 10 minutes pre last call.

Management/window/byebye...bye.

Day-off - SVK/HUN/ROM - 01/11:
Leaving Nitra, some people went to bed, some not, and the kaos continues with people waking up and joining into after party pt II. The trip is kind of bumpier and slower than expected, people and junk flying around in the bus in somewhat of a rollin harmageddon.

Needless to say, we can't find anywhere to eat properly on this route. Finally in Cluj in the evening, the bus looks worse than ever. Janne is watching a documentary on her computer about people with some kind of braindisorder, making them unlable to clean their homes. The homes filmed looks quite a lot neater than our tour bus now.

Alex in Volturyon just woke up for the busparty!

A dozen scandinavian bums goes out in Cluj trying to get some food, as most people haven't eaten anything since dinner the day before... This project fails of course, and we wind up at McDonalds. People starts passing out, others goes out to check some bars. We actually got ourselves a guide in the evening (or two actually), taking care of some sightseeing for us (thank you Laura & Bogdan!). The only sight seen though was the Hard Cafe, a bar in another district of the city (if someone cares to find it, you just drive up the big hill with the hookers, and when there are no hooker no more, then you are there).

At our entrance they started playing some songs from our last album, making us feel welcomed. We also learn from some people that "hadderajan" in romanian means "train going off track". Actually makes sense.

The best conversation of the evening sounded something like this:

Waitress: "We will close at maybe four."
Fredrik: "Maybe we wanna stay, what then? How are you gonna throw this guy out?" (Fredrik looking at Sverker) "He is like two times as big as you are."
Waitress: "We have guns for that."
(..silence..)
Fredrik: "The best thing is that you are not even joking."
Waitress: "Yes, no joking."

We decided to leave the Hard Cafe when they wanted to close.

Progresja - Warsaw, POLAND - 29/10:
Saturday night behind the iron curtain! Time to rip it up motherfuckers!

At Progresja a brand new bass amp waited for us, lets see if Martin's luck changes... The Progresja turned out to be a cool venue, having hosted many Death Metal gigs like DEICIDE, VADER, HYPOCRISY etc., and they welcomed us with great food and drinks.

We noticed that merch sold more than expected on the tour so far, but what about the cvlt cassettes?? Seems like the trve old school format is not too popular behind the curtain anymore? Good for the people coming to the last shows of the tour, I suppose...

Not much more to say, we left in the night with a bus full of cash - most of it on the bus floor. Win!

The 95% president for Rude Boy Club!

Rude Boy Club - Bielsko Biala, POLAND - 30/10:

Waking up outside the club, around 09:00 in the morning, the local crew and some bikers are still ripping it up since the day before. They invite us to the place and Sverker and Martin has a steady breakfast consisting of 95% alc booze shots. "Not drink, not play". Perfect way to start a working day, especially since we always thought booze tastes best around 95%<.

Quite some sweet scene, random speedfreak-chick running around talking randomly, bikers with their breakfast and people on the street going for lunch. Mr soundtech also had his share of breakfast, probably hadn't slept for some 2 years or so, and to help him out we decided to do an early soundcheck so he could go home and sleep some hours before the concert. (needless to say, this never happened)

Around lunch time the biker guys finally realizes it's time to throw in the towel, so they take their cars and go home one by one... For obvious reasons the organizer didnt fix any food, so we get some cash to do the town ourselves instead. Luckily, the restaurant totally fuck up our orders, so we get a good adventure there.

Back at the venue SLYTRACT and VOLTURYON did good shows, and amazingly the sound engineer did a good job although his eyes starts rolling back a little now and then. When it's time for us to rip Rude Boy up the audience are warm, and the gig turned out very good, with good support from the people.

After the show, we are of course not allowed to drink anything but vodka. Everything else is "out", poor us...

It feels a bit lame having to leave Poland, but hopefully we will be back in a not too distant future.

Unleashed In The East...

Propaganda Club - Vilnius, LITHUANIA - 27/10 2011:
Roads are getting bumpier, but clubs remain solid. Propaganda turns out to be some kind of old culture house from the Soviet era, perfect place to do our cultural deeds this Thursday. The place is rather big, with a very cool crew fixing the loadin and stage setup for us.

Fredriks double kick pedal broke down already after the soundcheck in Riga. Luckily he could borrow VOLTURYON drummers' pedal for the gig, but today he got to the biggest music store in Vilnius to get a new one. They had two pedals for sale; one home-made Soviet-style pedal, and one 200e Pearl-pedal. Life is good.

After a long soundcheck, we were driven to a restaurant for some "very serious food", and dozens of locally brewed beer brands to choose from. Back at the club the doors were already open. PARALYTIC from Vilnius did a good show opening the evening, and VOLTURYON had a great show too. After some interviews and more local beer, it was time for us to do our shit. (if you are from Vilnius and want to hear what Sverker sounds like dubbed to Lithuanian, you tune in FM104 on Monday)

The show at Propaganda was awesome, the 130-140 ppl attending this Thursday really showed their support, with people banging and diving through the whole gig. Unfortunately Martin's bas rig kind of broke down (or at least started sounding less like an earthquake and more like a SIX FEET UNDER-guitar rig) but the show went on and we had to do many extra songs before the audience let us go off stage.

After the gig, we had to leave early to get Gdynia in time, so the good life continued on the bus. Thanks to the cool people in Vilnius for a cool evening, hope to get back there soon!

Rockz - Gdynia, POLAND - 28/10:
Long drive to Gdynia, bumpy roads and lithuanian headache... Finally there, had to set things early, for an early concert. Rockz is a smaller club than the previous ones on this tour, located in the city. SLYTRACT joined the tour from this gig, and they showed up already in "Tour Mode", so to speak...

After some steady dinner, local band MANSLAUGHTER opened the gig early, followed by SLYTRACT. Also the cops showed up earlier than expected this evening, spending round half an hour on giving us a random 20 euro ticket. Snubbe.

The gig started well with a good support from the audience. Unfortunately Martin's bad flow continues, this time, the whole bass rig collapsed into the floor in the middle of the concert. After a short break fixing some kind of temporary solution, we continued playing, but could unfortunately not do the full set due to the curfew set by the venue. Next time, Gdynia!

Intro:
First off... We didn't update the blog during the summer. We intended to do an update after the Summerbreeze weekend, but the member responsible to handle it decided to not give a shit. So no blog for the summer, but here we go with some pictures at least...

Big thanks to all the people visited our gig at Summerbreeze, it was an awesome concert (and weekend in general)... And all supporters that bought our stuff there, our label manager shit his pant of excitement when he got to know how many people that bought our shirts. Cheers!

Towards Riga... 25/10 2001:

The tour started well. Our bus arrived in Avesta in the morning, and the VOLTURYON guys came to hop on. Needless to say, they forgot to bring half of their equipment, and have to drive faster than a paycheck disappears back to Borlänge to get the rest of the stuff. Already a couple of hrs late, the bus went back to Stockholm, and the ferry terminal.

Traditional ferry trip then. We better not write anything about it at all, it is probably best for everyone. At least the material destruction wasn't too bad, only a couple of lost mobiles, some video cam and a couple of emptied bank accounts. Slow starters.

White Russian vs Long Island Icetea

Melna Piektdiena - Riga, LATVIA - 26/10 2011:
You are gonna be burned out sooner or later anyway, so you may just as well be so from day one. A tour package stepping off the ferry looking like the tour has already been on for 2 months is never a bad start. We got to Riga rather early, and the venue was only a couple of km from the ferry terminal, leading us to an early load-in. The venue had some 3-4 people doing the loadin for us fast and smooth, giving us plenty of time to set things up for the first concert.

Only two bands played this show (Demonical & Volturyon) and the show was really cool, with a strong support from the Riga people. The Melna Piektdiena turned out to be a very cool place for some 600 people with great food and good personel, so the tour got a good start in that field!

We tried to introduce the Latvians to "lill-lördag", but having to leave Riga after show, the work continued in the bus with some bottles handed over by the MP crew. Looking forward to get back!

Rosenkeller - Jena, GER - 20/5 2011:
Back in Jena, after 2 years! In fact, when getting to the venue in the day, our cool host of the evening informed us that it was actually on the 20th of May 2009 that we played here last time. Interesting coincidence (?).

After gearin-up with strings and stuff in the day, we did a very good soundcheck, and everything felt promising. The organizers fired up the grill and the day was complete!

To our surprise, our former merch-guy Jack showed up again (having been dropped off in Prague the day before). Needless to say, it turns out that PRO-PAIN followed us all the way from Prague to Jena, and Jack went with them. PP will play a concert 200m from Rosenkeller - kind of ironic (and too bad for them!)

The evening turns out great. A lot of ppl showed up, just like when we played here 2 yrs ago. Fans of ARROGANZ had traveled to Jena for the show, and they got a good response for their show, and the feedback for FERAL was awesome too. When we entered the stage it was already after 11, and the concert room was packed. We delivered our entire set of Death Metal classics until we had no more material to play, and the response was awesome.

After-show duties at the Rosenkeller, until they finally closed the place... Then off to the classic Titty Twister of course to check some other great performances, and to some kind of weird club at 'Wagners' (which didn't seem to have much in common with Wagner) where our great sound guy changed profession and served the drinks while the local promotor showed where the cabinet should stand.

Total lack of order and orientation, and epic bus call at "07:00" (yeah, right).

TreibsAND - Lübeck, GER - 21/5 2011:
Lübeck was our last destination of the tour before going home to Sweden, and we had no idea what to expect since we never played here before. Being experienced in this business, we knew that nobody would wake up for the "border-shopping" the morning after, so we did that shit during the day in Lübeck instead (and suddenly the bus weights an extra ton).

The venue is actually part of some kind of "alternative" trailer camp, a big camp full of old trailers surrounded by bushes and trees, only 5 minutes walk from the city centre. The inhabitants seemed cool, some of them probably was here since the place opened in 1978.

Soundcheck went good, turns out the in-house guy knows Swedish and he made a good job. The whole venue and stage is very good in general and everything seems promising. We are served unlimited amounts of great catering (it just keeps coming) and there is even an "office opens" note backstage, which we followed strictly.

To our big surprise neither HATE ETERNAL nor PRO-PAIN plays in Lübeck tonight! There are three other concerts in the city though, but this turns out to be no problem either, a lot of people shows up, and the evening turns out great. People are banging through the whole concert and when we play "Death Metal Darkness", the ruthless FERAL guys shows up on stage banging and screaming with us. When the audience wants more, we play the classic "Bow to the Monolith", and as the final track for this tour we do "Götter des Nordens" with Kai from ARROGANZ on the lead vokills from hell.

This was surely a good ending of a great tour, but sometime after 03:00 we have to end post-show duties and say goodbye to our friend in ARROGANZ, to head towards Sweden!

Death Infernal Tour-package 2011 - Cheers!!

Back on Swedish soil - 22/5 2011:
A long trip back to Stockholm, first with ferry to Trelleborg from Sassnitz and then to the mighty Avesta dropping off the backline and parts of the band and management. Around 02:00 in the night we finally arrived at Arlanda airport where FERAL says bye, and then the last dudes are dropped off in Stockholm city in the night before the tour bus can head back to the Land of a Thousand Lakes.

It has been a truly awesome tour, thanks to the great guys in FERAL, ARROGANZ and GLORIA MORTI, and our great crew Markus and Chris, but most important: all you great people who came to the shows and banged and moshed and showed your support to real old-school Metal ov Death! Thanks for a truly memorable crusade and many awesome concerts!

It is now time to re-charge our batteries for a while and return with full force in late August at the Summer Breeze Festival! More tours and concerts may also be announced, so see you people in the pit!!

Tirish Pub - Banská Bystrica, SLO - 18/5 2011:
Woke up in Banka Bysten dying in the heat (around 150 degrees today). In Eastern European style, the owner of the club had moved another gig in last minute from another venue to Tirish, so when we were about to load in, we were informed that there would be a Pink Floyd cover band playing until 7 (at the same stage, eh?). The owner surely knew how to use the club to its full potential!

So we spent the day in the city waiting for food most of the day and checking out the local weapon and porn stores.

Arroganz makes people go berserk!

At 7 we did the fastest stage set-up in history of Death Metal, and got things going. The Banka fans are truly dedicated and all bands got a good response from the audience. During ARROGANZ' performance four cops stormed in with automatic guns, and we thought the party was over... Fortunately, it turned out that since the club had no security themselves, they called the cops when a guy in the audience spilled beer over the merch-table and then did some private moshing during the gig, smashing bottles and cutting up his arms (the merch aside, that's fuckin dedicated!).

After-show duties at the venue lasted til 04, and then we said ciao to our former merch-guy, and took off to Prague...

Modrá Vopice - Prague, CZ - 19/5 2011:
Today around 200 degrees warm and joy in the shade. We played at Modra Vopice some 2 years ago, on the open-air stage. But now there was no open-air stage anymore, and we did the gigs inside the club.

The band BRUTALLY DECEASED from Prague opened the concert with some very good old-school DM. These are dudes we played with before, and they always do well. Also Curby showed up with Obscene ads, and we did a couple of interviews for Cz and Polish magazines who really knew their stuff, which is always cool.

It was nice to have the concert inside the club, and the atmosphere was very good. Our gig was satisfying, we feared a no-show from the audience since PRO-PAIN played at a club just 200m away, but a lot of people showed up and the place was packed with old-school DM fans.

The night was spent at Modra Vopice with the most wasted bartender in history of Bartending (who eventually passed out on the bar, and drinks were free...). Horns up loyal Prague people, looking forward to be back!!

Ljubljana and Vienna - win/win!

Channel Zero - Ljubljana, SLO - 15/5 2011:
Is it true, or are we dreaming? After almost 2 weeks on the road, suddenly it's happening; we wake up in Ljubljana and it's RAINING! In fact, it's a little... cold...

Day and evening spent at a hotel near the venue. Sweden played a game of ice hockey vs Finland that we watched in the evening. Unfortunately it was only a preparation game for the next olympic games so it was nothing we really cared about (don't even remember the result).

This was actually the 4th DEMONICAL-gig in Slovenia in 2 yrs (3 in Ljubljana and 1 at Metal Camp), and we have always had a great support here. Unfortunately some American DM band we don't remember the name of (with some ex member of MORBID ANGEL) played at the same venue the day before (Saturday), so this evening the audience was unfortunately smaller than it has been before.

Anyway, it was a cool evening, and once AGAIN the "Death Infernal" CD's were sold out. And we still have five gigs left on the tour...?

The post-concert duties are already legendary, and lasted at Ch0 until the cleaning lady showed up around 05. It then moved to the Box Bar, with the management going out the window, while the driver spent the night in jail.

Day-off - Ljubljana, SLO - 16/5 2011:
Day-offs suck. Total lack of management, and nothing to do. But at least we got something done... the awesome promotors at Ch0 let us use the venue in the day to record some photage for a video that will be out in some months (maybe).

Jalla-Jalla dominated as usual, and our friend Ljubljana-Bengtsson also had some kind of dub (?) club in the evening at Ch0. This event was probably the weirdest of the tour so far, and looked like a in-door parody of 1970's Gärdesfest. Common... nothing got better in 40 years, wake up and smell the demise, hippies...

Escape Metalcorner - Vienna, AUT - 17/5 2011:
Ok, weather is back to normal again... Warm as hell. It's been two years since we played in Vienna last time, so it was cool to be back. Unfortunately we had some technical problems this evening; to begin with the local support band had filled the power outlets with water, causing short-circuits all the time until they were replaced, and as soon as we got going, Pablo's guitar rig fucked up. But that's life, and the crowd this evening was very supportive... As soon as Pablo got his guitar going, the gig was really great.

Rock It - Aalen, GER - 12/5 2011:
It's a long road to get to Analen (around 8 hours under normal conditions). But finally there, it's worth it.

Sometime around 14 we got breakfast served at the venue by the organizers. Of the two guys organizing the show, one turns out to be very familiar to Swedish traditions such as SNUS, being the singer of FLESHCRAWL who recorded in Sweden many times in the past. After breakfast, panic sets in. The back-up stash of vodka disappeared yesterday. Luckily we found an OK supermarket here too, and can gear-up again.

The soundcheck went good, the PA system was really good at this venue, and the mixing dude had a digital mixing console here too so he would save all settings... (no problem).

The tour so far has been above expectations as far as merch sales are concerned and all the LP's and almost all CD's that we planned to have on the tour was sold out already after five gigs (in Belgium). But today our friends from the record label showed up and saved us with some new boxes of records.

Cyclone madness...

After dinner people started coming, and it was time for GLORIA MORTI to do their last show of this tour (they only joined us the first half of this crusade). They did a good gig as usual. As ARROGANZ performed it was time for us to say bye to our Finnish friends for this time, and off they went... FERAL did a great gig too with a good response from the audience, before it was time for us...

The concert was awesome for us this night, the crowd was truly into our stuff and banged like crazy through the whole gig. People already seemed to be very familiar with the new material from "Death Infernal" and we had to do extra numbers once again before we were allowed to go off stage. The other organizer mr Ralf said afterwards it was the best response he could remember here, so what more can you ask for.

Needless to say the sampler and other stuff didn't work today either ("no problem"-guy came afterwards and said he was sorry, but he forgot to put the channels on) but once again it didn't matter to us, thanks to the awesome response of the audience!

Decimo Secolo - Brescia, ITA - 13/5 2011:
Hot, hot, hot... The story continues, it feels like we're doing this tour in July or something. The Decimo Secolo is located a bit weird, the venue is actually in a big shopping mall building... which is kind of good because the AC is top notch... Less top notch is fact that as the shopping mall closes, the light in the "backstage" also goes off (we had the same experience when playing here with other bands last year, but they are working on it...)

The PA system is a bit smaller than we're used to from our rehearsal room and the in-house engineer don't seem to be best friend with the equipment... But after a mega-long soundcheck, at least we got both speakers in front working, and some of the monitors as well, so lets go...

The owner had placed a couple of spooky looking dudes to take care of the security and prevent the audience from moshing, so needless to say we demanded the audience to mosh like crazy already from the first song... and they did! As the audience got going, the security guys eventually gave up. Mission complete!

This was actually the youngster of the band's (Sverker's) 30th birthday, so after some celebration on stage, the evening continued in traditional fashion with party at the Decimo Secolo with the cool organizers and some other guys, and the bus didn't leave Brescia until after 05... Ciao!

Pieffe Factory - Gorizia, ITA - 14/5 2011:
Most people woke up around early in a boiling bus in Gorizia. 30 degrees in the shade + no bus electricity (meaning no AC) + hangover from hell = life on the road.

Gorizia is actually in Northern Italy (on the border to Slovenia) but according to some locals this is one of the warmest parts of Italy... didn't get any explanation really, but we do not doubt their words. Walking in the city during the day you feel like Corleone checking out Sicily... No people are out, except for some random dogs and two bums having a ball at the stairs to the city church.

But it's a cool place, and of course in true Southern European tradition we do a late show tonight (first band 22.30...). DEMONICAL on stage sometime after midnight, with some parts of the band (mainly the vocalist) looking real hot with pink sun-burned viking-skin. The venue Pieffe Factory is very good, with a cool stage and a PA (and engineer) that is really top-notch. All bands had a killer sound and the gigs are very appreciated by the crowd. Much respect!

But as the venue closes there is of course nothing to do but to say ciao to our italian friends, and head towards Slovenia... looking forward to another morning in the sun...

Purple Turtle - London, UK - 9/5 2011:
Had to go up early to get off the tour bus at the boat. Unfortunately our dear English authorities didn't like the idea of our session guitarist Pablo playing in DEMONICAL. So, he got deported. At 08.30 they took him to a room where he had to wait to be deported back to France by some french officers. But the boat was gonna departure at 09 and the bus must roll, so the rest of the band took off...

Meanwhile, Johan decided to take a hangover-nap in the bunk while crossing the border, ignoring the signs saying something like "trying to avoid the passport control will cause a fine of 3.000 pounds". But what the hell. We are richer than we look.

The boat offered the first shower since Hamburg for some of us and was followed by some interesting left-traffic driving in a very busy London. Suicide Throne in the UK.

The Purple Turtle turned out to be a very cool little 250 ppl capacity venue located in the Camden area of London (where almost all concert takes place). Some of us spent the day checking out the area. We also tried to reach mr Pablo during the day without any response on either sms or calls...

But finally in the evening Martin reached Pablo. "Everything is great - I'm a free man!". It turned out he have had to sit in some room for four hours to wait for the authorities to get their shit together, but after that he got a coffee and a bag of chips as compensation, lucky guy. And an English stamp in his passport with a big "X" over it.

Anyway, being professionals since birth, we did the show in London as a four piece. For some reason we have never played in England before, but it turned out to be a great show. The audience seemed to be really into our shit, and we even met a guy who said he traveled all the way from Russia to see us. Props!

After we had drank all the english beer, we spent the evening drinking belgian vodka (well, russian vodka bought in Belgium) and smoking belgian cigarettes and ripping it up Stockholm style, before getting back on the suicide roads of London heading towards France again to save Private Pablo...

Peniche Igelrock - Valenciennes, FRA - 10/5 2011:
Back in France, we picked up "Packan" at some hotel; the lucky guy have had a good day-off checking out the locals, while the other four members had to work hard. We got to Valenciennes in the middle of the day, and guess what? The weather was ripping today again. It turned out that the venue was located on a big boat in a river passing the city (this river didn't have much in common with the mighty Ljungan, but rather looked like a bigger version of Selångersån in 1962).

Spent the day on deck, trying to avoid getting inside the boat as much as possible (it was hot outside, but even hotter inside). Some guys from the other bands found some kind of gym on the other side of the street where they cleaned their bodies, while the veterans (that would be us) spent the day drinking warm beer in the sun instead (cold food, warm beer, that's the good life the road offers).

As the bands began playing it looked like the audience was missing, but it turned out that the frenchmen just didnt like coming too early because when it finally was time for us to go on stage the atmosphere was just great. The crowd was ripping, and we really enjoyed rumbling this Titanic Sauna. Mr Soundguy forgot most of the instructions he got on the soundcheck, so intros and stuff like that disappeared into anti-cosmos, but it didnt really matter with the good response we had this evening.

Mr Organizer won the Gold Medal of the evening, and when leaving France it was definitely in a good mood. Looking forward to come back. But first: towards Germania again...

Das Haus - Neuss, GER - 11/5 2011:
Neuss is a rather small city, but very close to the Eurovision Song Contest (Düsseldorf). DEMONICAL played here once before, and it was a very good evening, so we knew that the people in Neuss knows how to bang and mosh.

At soundcheck the sound engineer as usual thinks that we are "too louuud" (this isn't Death Metal you know?!) and thinks the solution to too high cymbals is to lower the guitars (euhm?). Anyway, we tried to find some kind of compromise with the dude, but then we could suddenly feel the smell of MEAT, and soundcheck was over. The Grill was on, finally! The engineer had a digital mixing console, so we told him to save the exact setting for us. "No problem".

After a good very male meal, people started to show up at the venue. Considering that we soon were gonna spend some days in Italy, we went to a super market to bulk up with back-up vodka and other necessities before the concert.

GLORIA MORTI, ARROGANZ and FERAL all got very good response for their shows, and finally it was time for us to do our shit. Needless to say, mr Soundengineer fucked up everything we prepared on soundcheck (sampler channel muted the whole gig, etc...) but once again, it didnt really bother us too much, the concert was one of the best of the tour so far, with people banging like crazy through the whole gig.

We met people from previous concerts and among others longtime friends from DELLAMORTE's EU tour in 1997. The evening is ended with many chilling drinks, the tour manager passes out and faceplants in the bus, and the rest is history...

The satanic OHK venue!

OHK - Oostende, BEL - 8/5 2011:
Oostende is located by the sea, which was kind of fitting considering that the weather continued to be ripping, July-style. We arrived early in the morning again, and as people slowly woke up in the heat with the taste of Gremium whiskey in the mouth, we checked out the city and the sea (which was basically the same thing).

The gig was some kind of mini festival with a total of six bands playing (the full tour package + two local supports) and the first band was gonna start at 16.00... therefore we were at the venue before 12 to start setting up the stage. Well, not really. The venue let us in around 14, and then it was time to set up the stage for all bands. Belgians are known for being joyful and optimistic people, and this was proved again as the local bands shows up around 15 oclock with another two full backlines to set up (making a total of 4 drum sets).

Enough about that. It was a cool venue to play, and as the first band started to play, they weren't as delayed as we expected them to be really... only a little. First up a grind band with two vocalists delivering a crazy show, and then a BM band with a bit younger musicians.

Chef Speedfreak fixed a very tasty dinner, and it was a nice evening seeing back some old friends in Aleksey, Eve of Beer and others. Unfortunately most people left the venue directly after our gig, and we left Oostende early after saying bye to our great Camgirl and management assistant, Luc, EoB, and all the others, and continued the party in the bus towards the UK with some tasty drinks and 2 kgs of really good duck meat that we got from our Russian friend.

The calm before the bestial invasion!

Bambi Galore - Hamburg, GER - 5/5 2011:
Back in Germany and Hamburg! We arrived really early in the morning, and spent the day getting burned in the sun.

We have some good memories from this venue, and the night was good again as always. After some chineese food for dinner, GLORIA MORTI, ARROGANZ and FERAL all delivered very good shows. The hamburgers are really into the old-school bag, and especially FERAL got a good response for their gig.

Last time we played here we brought an extra bag of cymbals with us by mistake, that we now brought back to the venue, which seemed to make us a bit more popular, hah! Thanks to the audience for a cool gig and mr Organizer for setting up things great and serving many chilling vodka shots as always!

By the way, Reeperbahn is not the only ladies district in Hamburg.

Black Sabbath - Bad Oeynhausen, GER - 6/5 2011:
Arriving early again, and another day getting burned... The Black Sabbath actually turns our to be the local club of Gremium (for those who dont know 'em, there is Google). We were showed to the backstage room, which was actually the local high-shots "conference room" where they sit and plan their strategies at ceo meetings, surrounded by memos on the walls (Treue, Brüderlichkeit, Ehre...). A supporter of lower rang kept a close eye on us during our whole stay (best job ever), while a brother of higher rang took care of the sound engineer duties.

What could possibly go wrong? Nothing of course. Our gig turned out cool, and the Gremium guys turned out to know how to mix the whiskey-coke alright (in 0.5 litre glasses). We stayed at the venue some hours before leaving, and when the cops arrived and we asked if there were any problems, the locals informed us that the police must be very busy this evening, because they usually come much earlier. That's the spirit!

The Rambler - Eindhoven, NL - 7/5 2011:
ANOTHER day arriving early, ANOTHER day of formaldehyde fun (and joy in the sun). The Eindhoven people seemed to share our joy and the city was kinda busy in the day. After load-in the in-house engineer Michael Moore arrived, and together we fixed the most uber-fat sound in history of Death Metal. The local promotor was a really cool chick who fixed some good thai food for us (or chineese maybe? well... asian!) and we also got the best beer of the tour so far (and it was cold!).

Some people in the band ate so much as usual that the gig almost had to be cancelled. But professionals as we are, we pulled it off! Unfortunately the Eindhoven crowd was not the biggest or wildest of the tour so far... But parts of the crew compensated for that! Off to Southern Holland then... ehm... Belgium...

Sugar Bar - Stockholm, SWE - 3/5 2011:
The Death Infernal tour has begun! Feels good to be on the way. We spent Monday rehearsing, gearing up, hooking up with ARROGANZ... The tour bus arrived in the evening with Markus behind the wheel, as always!

On Tuesday FERAL and GLORIA MORTI arrived in Stockholm. Sugar Bar is a very small but cozy place. We didn't have too high expectations considering that it was a Tuesday evening gig in Stockholm, and there had been a lot of concerts the week before. But it turned out to be a really cool evening with plenty of beer and headbanging, just the way we like it. Thanks to the people coming, including all our friends and many ex- girl friends!

The bus left Stockholm in the night, and turned silent sometime around 09 in the morning.

Day-off - Greve, DEN - 4/5 2011:
After a very long and hard tour so far, we decided to take a day off. It was spend in the city of Greven in Denmark. The Real Men went to 'Cafe Under Uret' and spent the day and evening learning to know the locals. Off to Germania...

Death Infernal tour 2011!!

Next week the "Death Infernal" tour takes off, a crusade running from May 3rd to 21st with targets in Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Our allies in Feral and Arroganz will join the trek hence creating a lethal unity of pure death metal. Our labelmates Gloria Morti from Finland will appear as special guests on the first half of the crusade.

We can also reveal that Pablo Magallanes will join us as a second guitarist on the upcoming march through Europe. The addition of a second axe-man for live situations brings us to new heights and we can deliver the tracks - both new and old - with more power and might.
